Father Lee Tae-seok’s Sudanese Children’s Scholarship Society is a non-profit organization that started with Father Lee Tae-seok, who set an example of true love by conducting educational and medical activities in Tonj, South Sudan, Africa. Through our small sharing, we support poor youth in Africa, and we are working to remember Father Lee Tae-seok forever and carry on his will.
Father Lee Tae-seok’s Sudanese Children’s Scholarship Association focused on supporting youth education and medical projects in the Tonj region where Father Lee was active during his lifetime. However, after the priest’s death (January 14, 2010), we are gradually expanding the scope of support throughout Africa so that the fragrance can spread further. Father Lee Tae-seok, who wanted all people in the world to be friends with the poor and powerless neighbors in Africa. The Sudan Children’s Scholarship Society will continue to make efforts to make the dream of the father Don Bosco, the little Jesus of Tonj, come true.
(사)이태석신부의수단어린이장학회는 아프리카 남수단 톤즈에서 교육과 의료 활동을 펼치며 참사랑의 모범을 보여주신 이태석 신부님과 함께 시작한 비영리 사단법인입니다. 우리들의 작은 나눔을 통해 아프리카의 가난한 청소년들을 지원하고, 이태석 신부님을 영원히 기억하며 그 뜻을 이어가는 것이 장학회의 활동 목적입니다.
(사)수단어린이장학회는 신부님 생전에는 신부님이 활동하시던 톤즈 지역의 청소년교육과 의료사업 지원에 주력했습니다. 그러나 신부님이 선종(2010년 1월 14일)하신 이후에는 그 향기가 더 멀리 퍼져나갈 수 있도록 아프리카 전역으로 지원 범위를 점차 확대해 가고 있습니다.
세상의 모든 사람들이 힘없고 가난한 아프리카의 이웃들에게 친구가 되어주기를 바랐던 이태석 신부님. (사)수단어린이장학회는 톤즈의 작은 예수이자 돈보스코이셨던 신부님의 꿈이 현실이 되도록 계속 노력할 것입니다.
